How to set an item to be unavailable

You can do this in both your tablet app and admin dashboard.

In the tablet app

  1. Navigate to the three-line menu at top-left.

  2. Tap on Item Management.

  3. Find the menu item and tap on it

  4. Choose how long this item will be unavailable.

In the admin dashboard (admin.rushable.io)

  1. Navigate to Location tab in your left sidebar.

  2. Select the Restaurant category.

  3. Select Online Menu.

  4. Find the menu item.

  5. Click 6 dots on the right of the item for Detail / Edit.

  6. Click on Stock and choose your setting.


On Tablet
Step 1, 2&3: Navigate to the three-line menu at top-left, tap on Item Management and Find the Menu Item.

Step 4: Choose how long this item will be unavailable

On Dashboard
Step 1,2,3&4: Navigate to location tab in your left sidebar, Select the Restaurant Category, Select Online Menu and Find the Menu Item.

Step 5: Click 6 dots on the right of the item for Detail / Edit.

Step 6: click on Stock to change your setting.

Available, Restock on a date and Make Inactive

  • You can set an item to be restock on a certain date and it will automatically get switched back to available on the set date. Customers will still be able to see this item on the menu page but will see it labeled as "out of stock"

  • If you set an item as inactive, it will stay inactive until you update the setting again. In this case, that item will not be listed on the menu page that customers see.
